Venice Beach

  What a start to my vacation. Tom and I were suppose to go and pick up Jessie this morning but things turned out differently. Everyone seems to have kidnapped my children. That leaves just Tom and I. What are we to do? I decided to take him on an adventure and we ended up at Venice Beach. It was a wonderful day. the weather was perfect and their were lots of sights and sounds... Of course, parking was a nightmare but once we over came that obstacle we were on our way. We found once place and they wanted 25.00 smackers to park the car. That's insane, so we drove around and finally settled on 15.00. It was still a little much but what can I say. In the end it was worth it. We stayed out the whole day. After Venice we ended up in Santa Monica and I had the opportunity to do a little clothes shopping. I even dragged Tom in the store with me. He was nice about it. Of course, their were other guys in there as well so I guess he didn't feel to awkward. I think he was happy because he went to his favorite restaurant. KING'S HEAD... That was a real treat for him. We even made a toast to the Queen... In all we had a great time... Til next time.

Happy 14th Birthday!!!!

 
Guess who's Birthday is coming up? My guy Anthony. He'll be 14 years old. Boy how time flies. I saw him the other day and boy is he huge. He doesn't look like my little guy any more. I'm wondering what my mother is feeding him to make him so big. Now he has some type of shadow above his upper lip that is driving me crazy. If I'm on the phone with him for a few minutes I have it get it through my head that this is my son I'm talking too. His voice is so deep now. For anyone that knows him they'll remember his high pitch voice as a little boy. When he was younger I would have to go outside and tell him he would need to take it down a notch because he was so loud. Now look at him... Can't get a word out of him. You know those teenagers. His passion now is some online game and You Tube... He's still my sweetheart... This was taken at a wedding a few weeks ago. Him dancing with his sister. He has a wonderful personality. Summer Time

 Yes, it's that time of year. Today, was my official start of summer as I had no one to take to school this morning. You won't believe this, but I woke up at 5:30am. That's not the most surprising part of it. By 6:00 I had Jessica and the dogs out for a walk. Jessie thought I was absolutely crazy. I had to wake her up to get her shoes on and everything but once we were out she didn't complain to much. We'll try it again tomorrow. Wish me luck.
We don't really have any plans this summer with the gas prices and all. That kind of stinks. Most likely we will just park it right by the pool. I tried to take her down on my lunch break but she was missing a few things and turned me down. I'll let it go this time... I ended up eating strawberry shortcake for lunch. Their is always a bright side to things. Tom and I joined another family for Father's Day, so I brought dessert... Yes, I actually brought something... SO stop laughing!!! Gosh, you people. We my work day is just about over so I need to be wrapping things up.

Ventura Mission

 
This past weekend we attended a wedding up in Ventura at the San Buenaventura Mission. This was taken in front of the mission. I didn't have time to take all the pictures that I would like but here is one for you. Actually, 171 were taken but now that I'm review them they didn't turn out as well as expected. Never have family members with you when taking pictures because they are always in a hurry. I won't mention any names.(Tom)

Water Conservatory

 I found this need little spot while going to pick up Jessie from an overnighter. It a garden where they show you what flower you can plant and conserve on water. I just happen to catch this candid picture of Jessie just sitting. I will post more later...
