Sweet 16

Wow, how time flies... Someone just celebrated their 16th Birthday. Next, she'll be off to college. As you can see she has a huge smile on her face. Can anyone tell me why? If anyone knows her you'll know the answer. She is a crazy kid.
Her and I spent the day together and had breakfast and did a little shopping. We where hoping to make it to China Town but time didn't permit, so I owe her a day in China Town and a huge bookstore. We went shopping for a dress for the Winter Banquet so that took up most of our time. We had to make it home in time so that I could make her cake. The cake didn't turn out quite how I expected it too. It fell apart as I was trying to take it out of the pan. I had to piece it together but since we were having friends over for cake and ice cream I was to vain and made Tom pick up another cake... Anyway, she did get to eat the one that I made for her. According to her it was better then the store bought one. She knows how to bring a smile to someone's face. Till next time

12 Years

Yesterday, marked our 12 year anniversary.... Boy does time fly by when your having fun.

Catapillars

OK, I'm back...

As I walked onto my balcony this afternoon to deposit a plastic bottle into a bag as we are trying to go green. Look what I found a green caterpillar. It was among the leaves that were left over from when we were trying to grow a watermelon. No luck with the watermelon. We tried to grow tomatoes, bell peppers and watermelon and out of the whole crop we were fortunate enough to get one little pepper. Maybe next year, we will have better luck.

This was taken this past Sunday, while waiting for an opportunity to have a dvd signed by Raven Samone at our local Walmart. It was an interest event listening to all these tweeners screem upon her arrival to the store. I sent Jessie off to see what was taking so long and she came back running screeming "she's here she's here" To cute... I must say that I am happy that Raven Samone has turned out to be a positive influence. She is the first young women in the public eye that has had a very positive influence on our young girls today. Hopefully, she will keep up the good work!!!

It official she is now a decade old. Wow how time flies. We spent the day with going to breakfast and off to Build a Bear. At the rate she is going Jessie should invest into the company. This is the third year in a row and she's getting better about her selection of items. Just one outfit this time. Lucky me, of course, she has an insatiable appetite for material things so we had to hit her list of stores:

Venice Beach

 Well my vacation is over. The last two days I've been out and about taking pictures. Saturday, Tom and I went to Venice Beach and I was able to take pictures and then on Sunday morning, I snuck out of the house and went on an adventure to Downtown Los Angeles. I walked all over the place. I even took the subway to Union Station and went to Alvero Street. I received a call around 3:00 asking where I was mind you I left the house at 9:00 in the morning. Tom asked, why didn't I take him... I told him I didn't think he was in for another day of me taking pictures... Most of my pictures focused on the buildings but I realized that their wasn't any real architectural qualities about Downtown Los Angeles. I'm not an art major or anything but I've seen a few big cities and Los Angeles is way behind. They are trying to revitalize it but they have a long way to go. Their weren't and coffee shops where you could sit back and relax and read book or a Sunday paper. No bookstores... Art Galleries...Nothing... What is the Major doing? If you're a dog lover then don't think about moving to one of those over price lofts... You won't find a patch of grass anywhere. I guess the big city wasn't designed for families. Well enough bashing of Downtown. I worked down there for about five years and nothing has really changed.
